Project Overview: We work with several Day Care Centers located in San Ramon and it?s rural areas. These centers are run by a combination of local government and community funds.
The goals of the centers are to provide childcare services for working families who cannot afford private child care for pre-kinder children. The centers provide basic supervision, meals and a safe place for children to play during the day. The day care centers generally look after children from infant to 5 year olds.
Your Role: You will be assisting the carers of the center with their lessons, working one on one with the children during activities, giving basic English lessons, playing with the children, assisting with snack and lunch time, working in the kitchen, and completing maintenance activities.
Previous volunteers have helped with the garden and painted murals. You will be an extra pair of hands that is really appreciated. Please come prepared to teach any arts and crafts that you are skilled in.
